In our last Intro Article, we introduced you to some of our favourite timed games. They’re fun and fast-paced but if you’re looking for something to enjoy while you settle in at one of our tables to feast on some of our delicious food, you might want to check out these good food games:

Knuckle Sammich is a competitive game for 2 to 8 players that can be played in 15 minutes. In this fast-paced card game, set in the same world as the RPG. Kobolds Ate my Baby!, you are a kobold, that is late for lunch, and your goal is to beat the other players to the last few sandwiches! Watch out for King Torg or you may not make it through lunch! If you’re looking for a high-energy game with lots of yelling, check out this game!

Sushi Go! is a competitive game for 2 to 5 players that can be played in 15 to 20 minutes, and is one of our recommended drafting games. in this fast and frantic set collecting game, you are customers at a a restaurant, attempting to get better combinations of sushi than your opponents. This simple game is very fast to learn, and makes drafting simple. If you’re looking for a pre-meal warm up, give this game a try!

Let Them Eat Cake is a competitive game for 3 to 6 players that can be played in 45 to 60 minutes. In this cake-collecting negotiation game, your goal is to be the first player to reach 40 or more cakes, or have the most cakes when the game ends! Accumulate medals, generals, and cakes. Try not to make an enemy of the Revolution, and carefully plot against the other players, making sure that each vote you cast counts! Spend your medals and generals to protect your pawns from execution, and rig votes. If you’re looking for an intensely social game, where manipulation is everything, then this one deserves your attention!

Rocky Road à la Mode is a competitive game for 2 to 4 players that can be played in 20 to 30 minutes. In this resource management game, players take on the role of treat truckers, attempting to take over territories and earn loyalty points by keeping their customers happy. Every choice will cost you time and move you forward on the road track! Only the player at the back of the track can act, so you’ll have to manage your resources carefully! The life of a treat trucker isn’t easy, and the competition is intense but that doesn’t mean that this game is difficult to learn. If you’re looking for something easy to learn that will let you face off against your friends, pull this game off the shelf, and become the best treat trucker out there – or at least at your table.
