Intro To: Even More Good Cooperative Games

Even More Coop Games

We’ve introduced you to some great cooperative games in the past… and then we did it again! What can we say? Cooperative games are one of our favourite categories, and they’re a great way to bring people together! No matter what the occasion, it’s always great to work together with friends, family or coworkers, so check out some more fantastic cooperative games:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Board Game is a fully cooperative game for 1 to 6 players that can be played in 40 to 60 minutes. In this card-based board game, you play as Buffy and the rest of her Scoobie gang, working together to fight off the Big Bad and the apocalypse! Be warned though, if Sweet the Dancing Demon shows up, you may find yourself having to sing! Our favourite part about this cooperative game is probably that it was made right here in Guelph by Lynnvander  Studios, the design team that shares our Location, and some key members of our team. If you love fast-paced light cooperative games, give this one a try. Especially if you’re a Buffy fan!

Hanabi is a fully cooperative game for 2 to 5 players that can be played in 25 minutes. In this hidden information card game, players work together to create the perfect fireworks display by placing cards in the correct order.  To make things more difficult, each player holds their cards facing the other players so that they don’t know what any of their own cards are. To help each other play their cards in the correct order, players must share hints about the number and colour of their cards.  If you’re looking for a simple game with a unique premise then this is one that you need to try!

Sentinels of the Multiverse is a fully cooperative game for 1 to 5 players that can be played in 30 to 60 minutes. In this fixed-deck card game, players play as a team of super heroes chosen from a set of 10 heroes, and face off against a super villain and an environment deck that play themselves. The game is won when the villain runs out of HP and is lost when either all of the heroes reach 0 HP or the villain’s victory condition is met. Answer the call to protect the multiverse in this thematic card game!

Forbidden Island is a fully cooperative game for 2 to 4 players that  can be played in 30 minutes. In this modular treasure hunting game, players work together to stave off the sinking of the island tiles that make up the titular island and do their best to collect treasures and items! What’s really memorable about this game is the beautiful artwork that covers each tile, and the cool custom plastic components that make up the Island’s treasures. If you’re looking for a visually stunning game with different levels of difficulty and tons of re-play value, look no farther than this one!

With so many great cooperative games in our collection, it’s always difficult to choose the right ones for these lists – that’s why we’ll have tons more cooperative game suggestions for you in the future! In the meantime, if you’re looking for something completely different, check out some of our favourite horror games, or some of our favorite 4X games.
